Circle skirt with ruffle and peasant top. the dress is heavy with all that ruffle on the bottom.
Most materials were from my stash. I did find these black buttons at the thrift store and knew they would be for this dress.
petticoat skirt. I used about 35 yds 6" tulle for the bottom. It was easy to gather on my sewing machine by tightening the tension and lengthening the stitch.

she couldn't resist twirling the skirt.
she wanted all these non smiling pictures.
Cheshire cat just leaving the scene on the left as Alice floats away. That's not in the story but the 9 year old director liked it.
