This was the the hardest picture taking event I've ever done. I knew it would be before I even got there. The house has windows and doors everywhere. There is no way to get away from the glare. I still don't know how to solve that problem, but I have learned a lot since these were taken that would have helped this day go smoother. I'm not a pro and warned Aunt Sue they could turn out badly and she was ok with that.
See the glare? I do Like how Patrick and Rebecca's picture is nestled in between their mom and dad. Totally accidental.
I did not get all the shots I wold have liked to get. No one was really prepared to get pictures taken and I felt like I was encroaching on family time having them come pose. It would have been nice to get some candid shots, but I was lucky to get the ones I did get. My autofocus lens is broken so I am learning to get everything manually focused. Huge learning curve.

We finally went outside, which is what I wanted to do for everyone, and this was the only shot I took. So much better, but still has glare.
Afterwards I wanted to just practice and Spencer was my willing model.

Patrick didn't get there for at least and hour and a half because he was working, so I got this one at the end of a very stressful 2 hours. It's not good, but it's the best I got. Now I could do better, but not with this family! And not in this house! Aunt Sue would go for it, I'm sure, but Caroline will not. She didn't want to have even this one taken. Oh well.
