I found a couple of mom blogs recently that have boys sewing ideas on them. One idea was making a light jacket out of a t shirt. Jude is always short on shirts so using one he has already was not an option. I made him a t shirt out of a ribbing material I had in my stash. Then I sewed strips of fabric across the front, added a ribbed neckband and a hood and sewed a zipper on the outside of the shirt. I'm not sure I like how the zipper looks, but he loves the shirt. I cut the material away from behind the zipper so it can actually be used. I didn't have to buy anything. Yeah for stash!
